For many Americans people, the image of an electric vehicle typically an edgy sedan or a boxy hatchback.
However, automakers from the past are racing to provide electrified versions of their iconic models,
while keeping the aesthetics and sensory features that helped make their gas-powered predecessors a cultural icon.
For Ford it's the electric F-150 pickup truck that has more power than before. Volkswagen has converted its iconic bus,
the hippie van from the 60's to a relaxing lounge with seatbacks that fold into tables. Dodge plans to
harness the distinctive roars of their muscle vehicles and stream it via the use of an audio system.
