FDA releases updated COVID-19 vaccines

Wednesday saw the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), authorize COVID-19 booster shot updates

specifically targeting subvariants of omicron. The announcement comes as a result of a fall

campaign to give Americans booster shot, which is expected launch in the next days.

This marks the first update of vaccines since the initial shots were cleared at 2020's end.

The updated shots will be able to catch up with any changes in the virus.

Moderna and Pfizer have taken shots at the omicron subvariants BA.4/BA.5, and the original virus.
