A thrilling win against Minnesota was bittersweet in Chicago the following night on Saturday.
After pitching a no-hitter for 8 scoreless innings against Twins, White Sox pitcher Dylan Cease entered the
ninth with the potential to become a legend ... but came up just short of. The right-handed righty of 26 had displayed a spectacle
before the Chicago fans for the majority of the night, but fell short of being a no-no after AL batsman Luis Arraez spoiled
his bid on the Twins the last chance for redemption. Arraez hit a single into the gap with just two outs to erase Cease's decision in a devastating manner.
Even though he didn't get the opportunity to write his name into his record book Cease was able to come back
and smacked out Kyle Garlick for his seventh strike of the night to earn a complete with a shutout and win 13-0 for Chicago.
