Authorities said that a pilot who threatened to crash the plane into a Tupelo Walmart store in Mississippi was arrested and safely landed.
Governor Tate Reeves tweeted that the "situation was resolved" and that no one was hurt.
Reeves also thanked the law enforcement agencies for their assistance in bringing down the plane.
Cory Patterson, the man identified by police, has been taken into custody. Police have also released his mugshot.
According to reports Patterson is now facing terror charges in connection with the incident.
According to Connie Strickland (a dispatcher for the Benton County sheriff’s office), the plane had been flying erratically above Tupelo and a surrounding area for several hours.
